Under a tranquil starry night, hauntingly melodic vocals and meaty power chords of raw heavy ROCK METAL reverberated through the island. After some adjustments to the date, ‘Rock Storm’ finally hit the southern end of the capital (TVM Koshi), for the final show of its first chapter, Rock Your Senses.

Yet again, marking another successful notch on the musical journey of FASY as the bands performance at the concert attested their ability to create a sound that no other band can match. Displaying an instrumental mastery with a repertoire of originals and classic rock favourites, strung out with the bands signature creativity, FASY rocked the ecstatic head-banging crowd of fans through a mind-blowing set from start to finish.

The opening score with Painted in Black was met with roars and screams of euphoria, bringing a massive crowd into a wild mosh-pit, building up in its intensity to the climax of the song. From afar, the pit breathed like a bee hive as the heads banged up and down among the ecstatic mass. The ambience, purely ROCK.

Through a seamless combination of thought-provoking guitar solos by Fasy, accentuated with deep and funky bass lines by Ayya and sustained by Ibbes’ absolutely unbelievable drumming proved just to legendary rock themes such as Jimi Hendrixs’ Voodoo Child and Metallicas’ Enter the Sandman. A guest appearance by Justin on vocals rocked the crowd even further with more classic favourites such as AC/DCs’ Highway to Hell, and Iron Maidens’ Fear of the Dark.

A glow of musical maturity emanated from the band with the wizardry with which they moulded, squeezed, stretched and spun out the notes of each tune, drawing out and riding with the fanatic energy from the crowd. Their dexterity and technique defy most peoples idea of what is humanly possible to achieve with an instrument.

The night ended beautifully with a fantastic crowd of black-clad head-banging youth, saluting with the ‘rams horn’ sign to Fasy’s finale scream……. ROCK ON!!!
